After reading your replay I researched a bit and it looks like sometimes even when people unpin things, they come back. I’m not sure if finding this out makes me feel better or not. I can definitely understand more now why people would unfollow if a post kept on returning to the top of their dash.

Well, since this morning I’ve had a net loss of around 50 followers due to pinning the shirt post. The unfortunate thing about pins is once you post a pinned post, there’s no way to undo it and remove the pin for everybody. So even if the original poster wanted to take it back, they couldn’t without deleting the post. Or at least I haven’t found a way to yet. Lesson learned. Don’t use pins. Pinning. Not even once.

Used Tumblr’s Pin Feature for the First Time

I’d be lying if I said I’m not worried. I follow a good group of people and have only seen pins used rarely and with good content. However, I’m also aware some people just downright hate pins. So I hope my shirt can fall into the “good content” category. I’m pretty proud of it, being my first shirt design, and I hope other’s like it as well.

I plan on posting more merchandise designed by myself in the future. I’ve got lots of ideas and right now it’s just a question of finding affordable materials and ways to produce said items. Since I’m expecting to post more than a couple items, I’ll most likely not be pinning anything. I’d hate to be “that guy” who pins everything he makes and also I don’t like the thought of paying $5 for a few more views, especially at the risk of annoying fans.
