Final Fantasy XIV Box Art

Amano is one of my favorite artists. Every year at conventions I see art books by him and this year I think I’m going to finally purchase one. I actually took this picture using the box from my newly purchased Final Fantasy XIV Collector’s Edition, as I couldn’t find a picture of the art online without the text. It’s hypnotizing and I would love to have this piece framed in my house one day (along with other Amano art).
I know in it’s current state FF14 is pretty bad. That’s fine, as my computer can’t really handle it right now. I’ll post a screen shot soon. But despite all the criticism, I can’t help being excited for what the game will be in the future. In the short time I’ve played FFXI, I’ve fallen in love with it and I can’t wait to play another MMO with a Final Fantasy theme. The music in XIV is once again done by Uematsu, which to be honest, is a HUGE incentive in itself. He’s one of my favorite composers and hearing the song “Distant Worlds” at the ATL Distant Worlds concert actually convinced me to play FFXI. I’ve looked at the presentations and I really think XIV 2.0 will be a successful game. But for right now I’ll just put my copy on the shelf and wait for it.
